Blackstone Bar and Grill opened its doors in 2014 in the heart of Riverdale, NY. This intimate and charming local bar is situated in what used to be, “Hudson’s Bar”, a neighborhood bar that was a staple for many years on Riverdale Ave. That is where the similarities between the past and the present end.
Owner Steve Catechis, a Riverdale native, had a vision for years of what Hudson’s should be. Steve spent many years running another Riverdale staple, “Blue Bay Diner”, along with his Father and two Uncles. He not only gathered his experience in the restaurant operations but he learned and grew to love the quiet community charm of Riverdale. In 2014, Steve purchased “Hudson’s Bar” and brought to life what is now Blackstone Bar and Grill. He not only changed the name but rebuilt a local bar and grill that went along with the neighborhood that he grew up in and considers his home.
Today, Blackstone Bar and Grill is the prime hot spot in Riverdale, serving excellent food and offering a nice environment to gather with your friends, family and neighbors to unwind, relax and sit back and enjoy life and have fun.
